Product Design

The Studio of Product design was established in 2005 following the decision of FUUD as an integral part of the Department of the Applied Art and Design to cover the desired demand for tutorial of industrial design. The tutorial programme is based on proved methods of conservative way of teaching - drawing and modelling, study of the nature and its regularities in the development of the form, in combination with modern elements, especially with studying the latest findings about development of technologies, materials and applications of computer technology in the creative process. Integral part of the tutorial is also study of economic subjects and humanities, and their transformation in a real output to be used for communication and presentation purposes. The aim is to bring up a personality who perceives and processes information presented by means of the teaching, who is communicative and open to new ideas; at the same time, this personality is conservative in utilizing experience and values verified by time and practice, and brings new information and ideas corresponding to the era.

He/she has the gift of intuition to create relatively timeless projects, depending on flexibility of the industry and society. This personality respects other professions that together create a new intelligent product conforming the cultural and humanistic goals of the modern society.
The PD graduate must be able to understand principles of the branch in a general aspect, and to generate an opinion on their own, which has a quality appropriate to a profile of an academically educated person.
